Birthday Balloon Shaker Card | MFT July Die-namics Design

Hello and welcome to the July My Favorite Things Die-namics Design challenge. This month we are using balloon dies as the focus of our cards and I decided to step it up and create a fun balloon shaker card.

To create my shaker on the balloon, I first diecut the balloon from white cardstock and then added the colour with a foam blending tool and Summer Splash dye ink. I started off the balloon and added the ink in a circular motion leaving it darker around the outside edges.

Once I had the balloon fully coloured, I diecut the word happy from the top area and stamped the word birthday underneath with black ink. I then adhered a piece of acetate behind the word and covered the back of the balloon with foam adhesive.

I filled the word area with sequins and seed beads and then I added another balloon cut from white cardstock to the back to seal everything in. I adhered the balloon to the cardstock panel and matted it on green cardstock before adhering it to the card base.

To complete the card I added silver string to the balloon and scattered sequins around the card front.

To see how I created this card you can watch the video below:
