MFT Flashy Florals Card Kit Release!

Hello! I have another card to share that I created with the new My Favorite Things Flashy Florals card kit! This fresh, floral themed kit includes everything you need to make a ton of cards including a stamp set with coordinating dies, a set of word die-namics, a 6x6 background stamp, 8 premium dye ink cubes, and 15 sheets of cardstock.

And the best part... everything is perfectly coordinated together so all you have to do is create! The kit is officially available now in the MFT online store.

For my card tonight I used the 'Thanks' sentiment die to create a one-layer, masked floral design over the sentiment.

(Edited to add: The video for this card will be posted at a later date. I'll let you know when as soon as I know! In the meantime, here is a bit more detail on how I created the card.)

I love the great flower and leaf image stamps that come in this months kit, especially because they are layering stamps. Layering stamps make it so fun and easy to add detail and dimension to stamped designs with zero guess work involved. The stamps come ready to be layered together to create realistic looking flowers and leaves.

For my card today I decided to do a fun masked sentiment technique, where I diecut the sentiment from masking paper, adhered it to a white card stock panel and stamped directly over top of it. I stamped directly on the word so that when I removed the mask, everything would be one layer, but the sentiment would show through the stamped flowers.

This months kit includes 8 Premium dye ink cubes so you have a great assortment of ink colours that all work really well together. Once I had all of the stamping done, I used an ink blending tool to add some soft purple around the word and to blend the colours together from the stamped flowers. This ensured that I had ink all the way around the word, so when I removed the mask it would really pop out from the flowers.

I completed the card by trimming down the panel, adding it to a Fuse Green card base to match the stamped leaves and added some clear sequins for a bit of dimension since it is all one layer.

Thanks so much for joining me for the new Flashy Florals card kit reveal. Don't forget to head over to the MFT blog for all of the details on this fun new kit and to see more samples from the creative team!
