Ahhh, Nuts! Card & Winner

Hey everyone!!

Today I have a fun card to share that I created using Darcie's stamps and badges.
I recently discovered these and I am in LOVE!! You start with the stamp set and then once you have your image stamped and coloured, you adhere the badge over top on the face or body. There are different badges for different stamps.

These are the stamps and badges that I used to create my card - the 'Busy Beaver' stamp set and the 'Hey Foxy' badges. Aren't they so fun!?!

I decided to use the squirrel stamp and acorns with the 'Ahhh, Nuts!' sentiment because I kind of love it and it makes me laugh like a kid lol! ;)

A little about the card:

- I coloured the squirrel and acorns with Prismacolor pencil crayons (these are new to me and I LOVE them!!) and used gamsol to blend the pencil colours together. I love gamsol and never think to get it out. I'm glad I did here because the coloured pencils I used, match the colours on the badge perfectly.

-  I adhered the squirrel and the sentiment talk bubble on foam adhesive for some added dimension.

- I used the cloud talk bubble from Simon Says Stamp so it would mimic a cloud in the sky in my outdoor scene.

- The full sentiment stamp says 'Ahh, Nuts! I missed your big day' - I cut it apart so I could use the second part of the sentiment on the inside of the card.

I can't wait to get more of these stamp and badge sets. I have an owl set too, and hopefully I'll get to play with that one soon!
And good news!! These great stamps and badges will be carried in the Simon Says Stamp online store soon! Woot!! ;)
