Simon Says Stamp October 2013 Card Kit - Season of Thanks & Giveaway!

Hello!!

The newest Simon Says Stamp card kit was released yesterday and it is by far one of the best to date!! It is full of all of my favourite colours and it celebrates fall which is my favourite time of year! ;)

The kit is called Season of Thanks and features some new papers and sequins from Lawn Fawn as well as a really great exclusive stamp set.




I love everything about this kit and I have so many ideas for cards I want to make. One thing I really love about it, is that even though the stamp set looks completely fall themed, it is definitely one that can be used year round to celebrate the different seasons.

So for my first card, I decided to show the stamp set in a more spring/summer design. With a change in ink colour and papers, you can achieve a completely different look.

Supplies:





To create this card, I created the circle area for the card front and then created the stamped piece that fits inside.
I stamped the tree trunk with Hero Arts Cup O' Joe Shadow ink and then added all of the leaves with a combination of Luxe pigment inks in Pear Tart and Pistachio.

To stamp the sentiment, I used the 'A Tweet Thank You' stamp from the stamp set and masked off the beginning part before I stamped it so I would only get the 'thank you' part.
I then stamped one of the bird images on white cardstock with Hero Arts Red Royal shadow ink and then added it to the card front with foam adhesive.
To finish off the card, I added some glitter to the leaves and bird with my Wink of Stella clear glitter marker.
