Hero Arts 2014 Catalog Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my stop on the Hero Arts 2014 Catalog Blog Hop!!

I am so excited to be a part of this hop and share some of the awesome new stamps that officially get released tomorrow in the new 2014 Hero Arts catalog! ;)

For my card, I combined two new Hero Arts clear stamp sets called Missing You (CL756) and Looks Good (CL749) with the Tiny Flags Woodblock stamp (S5881) to create a fun and playful card.

To create the card, I first stamped the squirrel and owl from the Missing You stamp set on a piece of white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I used masking paper to stamp them side by side and then cut it down into a small square to imitate a polaroid picture. 

I also stamped the camera from the Looks Good stamp set with Versafine Black Onyx ink and clear heat embossed that as well. I used Copic markers to colour the critters and the camera and then I adhered the picture to the bottom of the camera.

To create the background, I stamped the Tiny Flags stamp onto the lightest and mid-tone colours of the Hero Arts Pool Layering Papers and then adhered them both to the card front. I added a white strip to separate the two colours and stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto it.

I completed the card by adding the camera and picture to the card front with dimensional adhesive.
