The Simon Says Stamp April 2014 card kit was revealed this past Friday and it might be one of my favourite kits ever!! It has some really fun bright colours and a stamp set that is so fun!! ;)
For my first card with this kit, I created a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square card that features mainly the stamps from the kit. I adhered the grid patterned paper onto a slightly larger pink piece and then adhered that to a the black card base.
I stamped the light bulb onto a piece of green patterned paper and then stamped it again on the same pink I used for the mat, so I could cut out the heart and adhere it to the green one. I also coloured some of the white enamel dots with Copic markers so they would match the card colours perfectly. These enamel dots hold the colours from the markers awesome!! ;)

ReplyDeleteI love your card - it would be perfect for my husband and it would also work for my grandson - who is always saying that to us :) Love that there is now a stamp set to express these thoughts onto cards. That handwriting is just the best - it just flows with the card. The lightbulb is so cute and love the glossy heart. I love the idea of coloring the enamel dots with Copics - never thought of that and I never seem to have the right colors ..... but now the possibilities are endless. Thank you for sharing that tip!
