Art Journal Page - Upside Down

Hello!

I have another art journal page to share today! Unfortunately I didn't get my creative process in a video as I planned, but I wanted to share the page regardless. I promise to get better about filming them... I just need to create them during the day rather than late at night lol!!

This page started with this quote from Dyan Reaveley's 'The Right Words' stamp set - "Every now and then life needs to be turned upside down to get back to the right way up."

I really love these words and knew that I wanted the sentiment to be the only thing that was the 'right way up' so I actually created this page with my journal upside down. ;)

Upside Down

Here are some close-ups of the page:

I used Dyan Reaveley Dylusions sprays and Gesso to create this background, and I love how these mediums work together! The gesso adds a white wash look to the Dylusions and let's you add brush strokes across the page for some fun texture.

And the area above the buildings where the Teal and Olive colours meet? Love!

All of the images on this page are from the Paper Smooches Metropolis stamp set. I love how versatile this set is and it provided the exact look I envisioned in my head.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions about my page or my creative process.
I am officially, 100% addicted to art journaling!

Thanks for stopping by today -
Be back soon!

Steph ;)
