Happy NSD!!!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!!

I hope everyone is getting lots of crafty time today to make some fun projects. There are so many fun challenges and posts today to honour this fun crafty holiday so make sure to check them out.
One place that has challenges going on all day is Scrapbook and Cards Today - they have posts scheduled every hour. They actually have so many fun posts planned that not all of the projects can make it onto the blog today. That's where this post comes in... I have a fun tutorial to share that shows how to make the cool folded paper flowers that we featured in the Jillibean Soup booth at CHA this past winter. This is the project that I created with the finished flowers:

Here is a video showing how to make the flowers:

Please let me know if you have any questions on how to make these flowers.

And make sure to stop by the Jillibean Soup blog today to take part in the NSD sketch challenge. Jill's got a super fun mystery box planned for the winner!! :-)

Be back soon!
Steph :-)

Layout Share

So I realized the other day that I never shared the layout I created for the Spring issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today:

This was such a great issue full of spring themed pages and cards. I created a layout for the Designer Challenge and had to feature specific product on my layout.

Definitely had some stuff that I probably never would have used on my own (glitter thickers!!) but I love the layout that I ended up creating. It is so good to stretch yourself creatively sometimes and reach for those products that you don't necessarily think are your style.

So in honour of National Scrapbook Day tomorrow, I challenge you to do just that - grab some products that you haven't used for whatever reason, and create a page. And have fun with it!

And make sure you head over to the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog tomorrow for a full day of online fun and inspiration for National Scrapbook Day.

There will be lot's of projects and prizes throughout the day starting first thing in the morning. I may even have a little project to share! ;-)

Happy Friday!!
Steph :-)

Happy Fall!!

I love this time of year. It is without a doubt my favourite season! Favourites this time of year include pumpkin anything! (lattes, pies, hershey kisses... if it has pumpkin in it then i'm game!), changing leaves, sweaters, apple cinnamon candles. Well I could go on forever. :-)
Another thing making me happy right now? The Fall issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today is available today!

I have a couple of layouts in this issue and I have to say as a first time designer in this magazine, the people behind the scenes are amazing to work with! Catherine and Becky are two of the nicest people and the magazine they put out at the turn of every season is so great! Proud to be a part of this great issue.

One of my layouts featured is one with my two kiddos and lot's of Jillibean Soup:

For a full supply list and details make sure to check out the issue either online here or pick a copy up in your favourite LSS.

And how about I give a copy away?!?
Just leave a comment here and I'll pick a winner Sunday night for a copy of the Fall issue and some other fun little crafty goodies!! :-)

Have a great weekend!!
Steph :-)
