Today I have a card to share that features the Birthday Blueprint stamp set from Tim Holtz. I usually use these types of stamps in my art journaling, but then I got this idea that it would be fun and unique to computer generate a background for the stamp to make it look like an actual blueprint drawing.
I created the grid background first and then added the little rectangle area on the bottom corner where the information usually goes on a blueprint drawing. I printed out the info that you see on the card, but left the date blank so it could be customized for someone's actual birthday.
Once I had it printed out and cut down to size, I stamped the balloon on the card and coloured it in with some of my favourite aqua Copic markers. To complete the card and fill in a bit of the blank space, I added some sequins and gems.
Not sure if it looks like the real thing, but I think it turned out kinda cool either way! ;)
Supplies:
Very nice...I like the science/engineering feel to this stamp ...great little box for the bday "sentiment" too.
