Hello! Today I have a couple of cards to share that I created for first two days of Online Card Classes newest class: Stretch Your Stamps 2.
The focus for these two days of class are background stamps and I was excited to try out some watercoloring with mine like Kristina did. I changed my final design up a bit from hers, but I loved creating the background! ;)
To add the hello sentiment, I placed a piece of vellum underneath the diecut heart to mute down the background colour so the word would stand out on the card. Since the background has so much colour, I really wanted to leave the rest of the card a very basic colour. I think the grey was a perfect choice! ;)
I love the rainbow colours on the background and the pop of grey with the sentiments and hearts. To make everything stand out a little more against all that colour, I added Wink of Stella clear glitter to the diecuts and covered them all in Glossy Accents.
And since I had the heart left over after I diecut it out of the background, I decided to create a second, super simple card.
I diecut the same hello sentiment from the heart and a the grey cardstock to create an inlay look, and then assembled it all on a piece of white cardstock. I added more of the same hearts that I used on the previous card and added the glitter and Glossy Accents to these ones too!
I love that you get two cards when you create fun diecut backgrounds!
