Be Original | MFT November Release Countdown

Hello! Today is the last day of the countdown to the November release from My Favorite Things! All of the amazing products we have shared all week will be available tonight! Yay! ;)

Today I have a card to share that I created with the new Be Original stamp set and the new All Star Hightop die-namics. I love love love any product that looks completely real when it's all stamped and put together and this shoe does not disappoint! ;)

The new All Star Hightop die-namics comes with all of the parts to create this awesome shoe and make it look completely realistic. To make the shoelace holes look like actual metal eyelets, I embossed a section of white cardstock with silver embossing powder and then diecut the little circles out.

Once I had them all adhered onto the shoe, I used a thin flat white ribbon and threaded it through each hole to give the shoe laces. I also stamped the circle design with the coordinating circle die that comes in the die-namics set.

I love how all of the sentiments in the new Be Original stamp set go so perfectly with the shoe. My favourites are sole-mate and sole-sister - so cute!! ;)

Since the shoe was so detailed and life-like, I really wanted it to stay the focus of the card, so I adhered it to a simple Steel Grey and Sno Cone card base, stamped the sentiment in black ink on the grey background and added a few vellum sequins and clear gems for a little bit of added interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by all week for the MFT New Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available tonight on the My Favorite Things website at 10pm EST. Yay!!

  4. Wow!! The shoe does look so realistic and I thought the holes were eyelets until I was reading the post and found out it's part of the dies. Love the way you added in the ribbon and made a cute card with it.

  8. For years my son wore the hi-top sneakers like this, long before it was in style. This reminds me so much of him. Thanks for a great idea.
