Round Here: You Warm My Heart

Hello! Welcome to the November creative team challenge with My Favorite Things! The theme this month is all about Christmas Cheer with fun projects to celebrate the upcoming holiday season!

I decided to make another gift card holder for the challenge since I seem to give a lot of them for gifts. Especially coffee ones for Tim Horton's! ;) I've been dying to use the Coffee Cup die-namics so I decided to dress it up with a Snowman and pair it with the Gift Card Grooves dies for some holiday cheer! ;)

I created the cup with Smooth White cardstock and added the cozy cut from Kraft cardstock. To dress up the stark white cup a bit, I added some light shading with a grey Copic marker and also stamped all over it with the snowflake stamp from the Christmas Cuteness stamp set, using Sno Cone dye ink.

I stamped the snowman from the same stamp set as the snowflake onto the kraft piece first and then on a piece of Smooth White cardstock. I only stamped him on the kraft because I knew I wanted to fussy cut him and it would be impossible to cut out his arms. This way, you still get the arms but the white snowman body is adhered on top.

I coloured the snowman with Copic markers and added glitter to his hat and nose. I then cut out the smaller heart from the Coffee Cup die-namics and coloured it in with red Copic markers. I adhered it to the snowman (I thought it was a great way to tie in the sentiment that I was using) and then added glitter to it. I also added glossy accents to both the heart and the holly on his hat.

I cut out a Stitched Rectangle from white cardstock for the inside of the card and then added some tabs to hold the gift card using the Gift Card Grooves die-namics. These are so awesome for quickly adding gift cards to projects! ;)

I love how nicely it holds the card in and doesn't let it move around. A definite die that can be used over and over for all kinds of occasions.
