Hello! Today I have a card to share featuring some great Winnie and Walter stamp sets for their 1st birthday celebration! They have a ton of great challenges going on all month long to celebrate so make sure to head on over to their blog for all the details and giveaways!
My card today is for the Mood Board Challenge with Lea. I love all of the great images she included and was inspired to create another New Year's card before we're done with January! The pictures inspired me to create a pink and gold card with lot's of sparkle! ;)
I used one of the pennants from the It's a Wonderful Pennant stamp set to create a fun New Year's hat! I first stamped the pennant with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder. I stamped the little star burst stamp at the top and heat embossed that as well so it looked like a complete hat.
I stamped the word 'happy' from The Big, the Bold and the Happy stamp set, underneath in Versafine Black Onyx ink and stamped 'new year' along the line of the hat. I went over 'happy' with a clear Wink of Stella glitter marker for a bit of shimmer. I added gold, pink and clear sequins around the hat and sentiment and then added silver Stickles on top of the sequins and a few dots on it's own.
I finished the card by adhering the completed white panel onto two layers of pink glitter paper... one darker and the one slightly lighter in colour. The entire piece was then adhered to a white top folding card base with foam tape for some added dimension. ;)
