MFT February Release Countdown | Day 5

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things February release! This month's release will leave you dreaming of spring and warmer weather along with some other fun things! It's going to be a fun five days as we count down to the full release! ;)

For my card today I used the new Lisa Johnson Spring Tulips stamp set and die-namics. I am in love with this set! There are lot's of different tulip images with beautiful sentiments to go with them. I love the mix of script and text in the words.

I first stamped the tulip image onto a piece of white cardstock and coloured it in with Copic markers. I used aquas for the flowers (is there even such a thing as an aqua tulip lol!) and a few shades of green to colour the stems. I love how the aquas and green looks together.

Once I had them coloured, I diecut a panel of Primitive White cardstock with the coordinating die and layered it over top of the coloured flower so it was set a bit behind the cut lines. I love the unexpected dimension this provides. ;)

I stamped the sentiment underneath the flowers with Black Licorice dye ink, and added some white string and a button onto the flower stems. I also added some sequins for some additional detail. Once I had everything adhered, I put the panel onto a piece of white and Blu Raspberry cardstock and then layered the whole thing onto a Primitive White card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by for day 5 of the MFT February Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available on the My Favorite Things website on February 3rd at 10pm EST! Yay!
