MFT January Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things January release! Today's post is all about cute and a little love! ;)

Today I have three cards to share with you! Let's start with a card I created with the new You Have My Heart stamp set and die-namics. This set has the most adorable images ever! ;)

This card uses the adorable girl and dog images from the stamp set. I love that it looks like she's handing the puppy a heart... goes perfectly with the sentiment! ;) I stamped the images with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink and then I coloured both images in with Copic markers in blue and greys. I also added a bit of detail to the girl's outfit using a white gel pen and some sparkle to the heart using a glitter pen.

The background is actually something I created quite a while ago using the MFT Small Brick Wall stencil, embossing paste and Brick embossing powder from Ranger. It really looks and feels like a brick wall! I have had it sitting in my craft room for awhile waiting for a card I could use it on and thought it would be perfect for this scene.

I created the ground with Steel Grey cardstock and the MFT Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and added the sentiment stamped onto a stitched banner from Blueprints 20.

My second card uses the You Have My Heart stamp set again, but uses the other little girl and puppy image. I love how cute they look sitting together! Reminds me of my puppy! ;)

I created a scene on this card using the stitched rectangle from Blueprints 20 and the Stitched Snow Drifts to create the grass and clouds. I tucked the girl and puppy image between the two pieces of grass to make it look like they were sitting in it and not on top of it. ;)

I coloured the image with Copic markers and stamped the sentiment directly on the bottom piece of grass. I also decided to add some hearts that I cut out using the new Tag Builders 3 Blueprints Die-namics. I cut three small ones with glitter paper and one red one with the same Wild Cherry cardstock that I used for the mat under the rectangle piece.

My last card uses the new Love Centerpieces Die-namics to create a simple shaker card. I love how customizable this die set is!

I first stamped the MFT Wood Plank background onto a piece of Steel Grey cardstock using Steel grey Dye ink and then I cut the Love word out of the center. I layered it over a red piece of cardstock with vellum in between, to mute down the red a bit since I didn't want the letters to be the focal part of the card.

Then I created a shaker part in the heart. I adhered clear acetate directly over the back of the heart area only, added some foam adhesive around the heart, added in the sequins and then adhered the Love panel onto the vellum/red cardstock piece. Putting the foam adhesive around the heart makes it so that the sequins stay only in that area and don't fall down into the letters. ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by for day 4 of the MFT January Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available on the My Favorite Things website at 10pm EST on January 6, 2015! Yay!!
