MFT | March Release Rewind

Hello! Today I have a couple more cards to share that use products from the My Favorite Things March release. This release is so awesome for pet lovers... there are so many great products to make a ton of different pet themed cards!

For my first card I used the adorable I Knead You stamp set from Birdie Brown that features some really cute cat images and sentiments. I decided to keep my design clean and simple and keep the focus on the colourd cat image.

I stamped the little shelf and the backwards cat - I thought he went perfectly with the sentiment lol! and then coloured them in with Copic markers. I cut apart the sentiment so I could layer it underneath my image, and stamped it in black ink.

I cut the image out when I was done with the stitched panel from the Blueprints 23 die-namics and layered it onto a piece of kraft cardstock. I then heat embossed the Paw Print background onto my white card base using silver pearl embossing powder. I love the slight shimmer and tone on tone colour.

I completed the card by adding the panel to the card base and stamping on a few hearts using my favourite new ink, Summer Splash! ;)

For my second card, I used the Pet Accents die-namics to create a love card with a pet theme! ;) I first used the Paw Prints stencil and added white embossing paste to a white piece of cardstock and let it dry. Once it was dry, I diecut it with a heart die and adhered it to a kraft piece of cardstock. I then cut out the whole thing with the stitched panel from the Blueprints 23 die-namics.

I diecut a second smaller heart from red cardstock and adhered it that on the bottom right of the larger heart, with foam adhesive for some added dimension. I stamped some random red and kraft coloured hearts around the diecut ones and added some clear glitter to all of them.

Once I had all of the hearts done, I adhered the kraft piece to a white card base and added a black strip of cardstock to the left side to make the white heart more prominent on the card front. I completed the card by stamping on the sentiment with black ink.

Thanks for stopping in all week for the March release countdown! Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for links to amazing projects from the other MFT creative team designers! ;)
