MFT April Release Countdown | Day 1

Hello and welcome to the last day of the My Favorite Things April release countdown!! We have a few more products and projects to share today before the official release tonight! I have a couple of cards to share using the new rolled flowers and the True Friends stamp set!

For my first card, I created a watercolour background using my Gansai Tambi watercolours. I used blues and aquas and mixed in the pearlescent colour to give the background a fun shimmery effect.

Once it was completely dry, I stamped on the sentiment and the hearts from the True Friends stamp set with black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I left the heat on the embossing powder a little longer than normal so it wouldn't be as shiny and it kind of blended into the background a bit.

Since the card is almost one layer and doesn't have a lot of dimension, I added some clear sequins around the hearts for a little more detail.

For my second card I used the new rolled flowers to create a felt flower arrangement with a simple sentiment underneath. I also used the new Simple Leaf Flourishes die-namics to add leaves behind the flowers.

I created all of my flowers with various colours of felt and then I adhered them over the leaf areas with a strong liquid adhesive. I love the dimension you get when you adhere them all together in a bunch!;)

Before I adhered the flowers on, I stamped my sentiment with black ink. If you adhere the flowers first you might have a hard time getting a good stamped image. I added the whole panel onto a piece of green cardstock and then adhered it to a Grout Gray card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by for day 1 of the MFT April Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available on the My Favorite Things website on tonight at 10pm EST!
