Hello and welcome to day 2 of the My Favorite Things April release countdown! Today I have a card to share that features the new Tweet on You stamp set and the Happy Trio die-namics.
I wanted to create a fun design with the birds from the stamp set and make them look like they had really long legs. So I created a center watercolour panel and stamped the birds at the top and bottom so it looks like their bodies are hidden behind. ;)
To create the center piece, I added Summer Splash and Lemon Chiffon ink to an acrylic block with water and then pressed it into a piece of watercolour paper. When I lifted it off, it left the soft colours behind with the yellow more concentrated in the center.
I then diecut the word 'happy' about 5 times from the white cardstock and added the same Summer Splash ink to the stop one before adhering them all together. I made the ink darker at the bottom of the word and went lighter as I went up to give it an ombre look.
I added some clear glitter to the word happy and then covered the entire thing in Glossy Accents for added dimension and shine. To complete the card, I stamped the rest of the sentiment with black ink and coloured in the birds with Copic markers.
