MFT April Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things April release countdown! Today's reveal includes a companion stamp set to the hugely popular You're Super stamp set and an awesome new Birdie Brown set called You Gnome Me! ;)

For my first card today I used the new Super Boy stamp set to create a fun scene. I also used a few of the stamps from the You're Super stamp set to complete my card.

To create my card, I cut out the Stitched Rectangle Frame from Grout Gray cardstock. I set the outside piece aside and used the inner rectangle as the base for my scene. I first stamped the buildings from the You're Super stamp set repeatedly on the bottom. I just overlapped the stamping, not worrying if it looked perfect because I knew I would be layering vellum over top and that would hide any imperfections.

When I finished the stamping, I scattered some blue star confetti over top and then adhered a piece of vellum over top. It holds all the sequins in and mutes down the background so you can see it but it isn't the focal part of the card.

I stamped the boy onto white cardstock and coloured him in with Copic markers. There is a coordinating die to cut him out but I didn't want a white border around him so I cut him out with my scissors. I then adhered him over the vellum scene and added the word bubble in the top corner area. That was created by stamping and white heat embossing on vellum.

I completed the card by adhering the outside rectangle over top and adding it to a white card base. I also added a few clear gems for added dimension and detail.

For my second card I used the new You Gnome Me stamp set and decided to keep it pretty simple so that the focus was on the awesome flower-filled boot image! ;)

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and coloured it in with Copic markers. I then used the coordinating die to cut it out.

I cut out a piece of Brown Paper Bag cardstock with a Stitched Rectangle die and then used the new Stitched Basic Edges dies to cut the panel in half. I pieced it back together on the card front so that it still looked like one piece with the great stitching detail added to it.

I completed the card by stamping the sentiment above the stitched line with black ink and then I adhered the boot image with foam adhesive for some dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by for day 4 of the MFT April Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available on the My Favorite Things website on April 7th at 10pm EST!
