Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things August release countdown! This months release has a lot of great stamp images and dies with everything from a tropical paradise, to roses, to robots! ;)
For today's post I have a card that uses the new Scribble Roses and Scribble Roses Overlay die-namics. I love that these dies work together and that there is also a coordinating stamp set!
I used ink to create a watercolour wash with blue and purple inks and then I diecut them using the solid Scribble Roses die-namics. Once I had them cut out, I cut out the coordinating Scribble Roses Overlays from white cardstock and adhered them on top of the solid flowers.
I also created a green watercolour wash and diecut some of the leaves from that. I used the coordinating stamp set to add the outside detail and then adhered both the leaves and the flowers onto a new Double Stitched Circle STAX that I cut from white cardstock.
I added some Summer Splash ink with water to a watercolour cardstock panel and once it was dry I diecut it with a stitched rectangle and adhered the circle on top. I then adhered the entire panel onto a white top-folding card base.
I didn't want to have a really large sentiment that would take away from the watercoloured roses, so I used a small 'Smile' sentiment from a new stamp set coming later this week. I completed the card by adding some clear sequins around the roses.
Thanks so much for stopping by for day 5 of the MFT August Release
