MFT July Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things July release countdown! We're continuing the celebration today with an adorable new stamp set from Birdie Brown and an awesome Star Celebration background stamp and stencil.

For my card today I used the new Birthday Bears stamp set with the Star Celebration stencil to create a fun little outdoor scene! ;)

I first stamped the large and small bear and the balloons onto a piece of white cardstock and then coloured them in with Copic markers. There are dies that coordinate with these shapes but I decided to fussy cut them with my scissors for this design.

Once I had them all cut out, I cut out a stitched rectangle from Sno Cone and Sour Apple cardstock and then diecut the green piece with the Grassy Fields die-namics for the grass under the bears. I cut it twice so I could tuck the bears inside to make it look they were sitting in the grass.

I used the Star Celebration stencil and Sno Cone ink and added some stars to the background with an ink blending tool. I love how quick and easy it is to add a subtle design with a stencil and ink. I also stamped the sentiment with black ink under the bears in the grass.

To create the cluster of balloons, I first adhered a piece of white string to the backs of them and then added them to the card with foam adhesive. Once I had the balloons adhered, I glued them under the bears hand with liquid adhesive so it looks like he's holding them. ;)

I trimmed the strings to various lengths once the glue was dry - I love how they hang loosely from the bears hand and makes them look so realistic. ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by for day 4 of the MFT July Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available on the My Favorite Things website on July 7th at 10pm EST!
