MFT September Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things September release countdown! Today is my favourite day of the countdown because I love the products so much! Awesome stamp sets and such great complimentary die-namics. ;)

For my first card, I used the new Mon Cheri stamp set (and coordinating dies) along with the new Boutique Window and English Brick Wall stencil to create a fun little scene.

I first created a grey coloured brick wall with the stencil, Grout Gray ink and my ink blending tool. I made the ink a little darker on the outside and went lighter as I went towards to center. Once the inking was done, I stamped, coloured and diecut the girl and the coordinating shoes and purses.

I then created the shop window with the Boutique Window die and added the awning that I coloured with Copic markers. I completely covered it with glossy accents to give it a shiny, dimensional look.

I added vellum to the window so you could see through it, but it would mute down the colours inside. I really wanted the girl to stand out so this was a great way to add the fun shoe and purse details to the window without them being the focus of the card.

I tucked all the accessories inside the window before adhering it down and then I added the girl in front so it looks like she's walking down the street on a shopping trip. ;)

For my second card I used the new Harvest Mouse stamp set (and coordinating dies) along with the Prairie Fence die to create a fall themed scene.

I first stamped, coloured and diecut the adorable mouse images along with the bushel basket of apples and the leaf piles. Once I had everything cut out, I figured out the design of the card and then diecut the rest of the pieces.

I used the Pierced Rectangle Frames to put my scene in and then I cut the sky and grass using the Dots and Stripes Fresh paper pad. I also used the Stitched Snow Drifts to create the grass hills and then added the Prairie Fence in between.

I stamped and embossed the greeting on a piece of vellum and then layered it over the dotted blue sky to tone it down a bit since it seemed a little bright. I then adhered all the pieces for my scene and added glossy accents to all of the apples. ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by for day 4 of the MFT September Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available on the My Favorite Things website on September 1st at 10pm EST!
