MFT Beautiful Blooms Card Kit | Day 2

Hello! Today I have another card to share that I created with the new My Favourite Things Beautiful Blooms card kit! This is the first card kit that MFT has released and it includes everything you need to make a ton of beautiful cards including a stamp set, coordinating die-namics, patterned paper, ink, cardstock and sequins. And the best part... everything is perfectly coordinated together so all you have to do is create!

The kit officially releases tonight at 10pm! You can find all the details about the kit and how it works on the MFT blog here
Yesterday I shared a card where I stamped the flowers and leaves with the coloured inks included in the kit, onto the green wood patterned paper. Today I have a card that is pretty similar, but I changed up a few things to show you how easy it is to completely change the look of the card while still using a lot of the same supplies.

Rather than using coloured ink on this one, I chose to use black ink. You don't get black ink in the kit, but it's a pretty common ink colour for card makers to already have in their stash. ;) I chose to stamp on the blue patterned paper this time, to give the look of a silhouette of flowers against the sky.

I stamped another sentiment from the stamp set directly onto the patterned paper, tucked neatly into the stems. I just stamped stems and flowers until I felt like it was full enough without looking messy. Once I had all of the stamping done, I adhered the panel to a piece of green cardstock, trimmed it down and adhered to the top right corner of a kraft card base.

To finish the card I added some clear sequins to the centers of some of the flowers. I love that this card looks so different from yesterday's, even though I did a lot of the same steps on this one. ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back tonight with one more card to share from the new Beautiful Blooms card kit. Don't forget to head over to the MFT blog for more creative team inspiration! ;)

  6. What a lovely treatment and how nice for a set of notecards using the same technique since they are simple but attractive so they would be easy to assemble for making numerous sets of cards at one time. Nice idea!
