Round Here: MFT January Release Countdown

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things January release countdown. For today's post I created two cards. One using the new Cheeky Monkey stamp set and coordinating die-namics and the second one with the All Heart and the Love You More stamp sets. ;)

The little monkeys in this stamp set are so adorable and have some really great sentiments to go with them! I stamped, coloured and diecut one of the monkey's from the set as well as the adorable little bee image. I knew I wanted to keep the card design somewhat simple but I needed something to ground the little monkey so it didn't look like he was floating on the card front lol! ;)

I used one of the grass images from the new Ewe are the Best stamp set, stamped and coloured it and then diecut it with it's coordinating die. I love how cute the monkey looks standing in the little hill of grass.

I added some blue ink to the background with an ink blending tool and Sno Cone ink and then I adhered all the pieces. I stamped the sentiment directly below the grass and completed the card by adding some sequins and a little dotted trail for the bee. ;)

My second card is a more traditional love themed card that uses the cute bird image from the All Heart stamp set, nestled inside an open heart shape using the new Stitched Heart Stax die-namics.

I love the font and the sentiments in the Love You More stamp set and will definitely be getting a lot of use out of this one. The white window panel is adhered with foam tape for some dimension as well as the bird image.

I stamped the sentiment directly underneath in black ink and then I added some sequins within and around the heart area for some added detail and dimension.
