Hello and welcome to day 4 of the March My Favorite Things release countdown!
Today's card features the fun new Prehistoric Fun stamp set along with the new In The Clouds Die-namics. I love the images and sentiments in this set so I created a little scene with one of my favourite greetings. ;)
I created a fun in-lay background by diecutting a white cardstock panel with a stitched rectangle die and then I cut the center out with the Stitched Rectangle Frame die. I left the frame portion in the larger rectangle but replaced the center panel with a piece of blue woodgrain patterned paper that comes in the Tranquil Textures paper pad. I adhered all of the pieces onto a top-folding Grout Gray card base.
I stamped the dinosaur and coloured him with Copic markers and then I cut him out with scissors. I also stamped, coloured and cut out a leaf image to make it look like he was chewing on it. I love the pop of colour the green adds to the finished card.
I stamped the sentiment onto one of the diecut clouds, inked the edges of both clouds with Summer Splash ink and then adhered them to the card. I added a small red diecut heart to the sentiment cloud to add a bit more colour and detail to the finished design.
