MFT April Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things April release countdown! Today we have some adorable new cat and dog images to share from Birdie Brown! ;)

I had so much fun creating a fun window scene with one of the kitties (he has a front facing head and a back facing body) and the adorable fish bowl from the Cool Cat stamp set.

I stamped all of my images onto white cardstock with Black Licorice hybrid ink and then I coloured them in with Copic markers. I used my scissors to cut them all out so I didn't have a white border around them and then I set them aside while I created my card base.

I diecut an opening using the Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window die in both the card front and a separate cardstock panel. I then cut a small piece of acetate and sandwiched it in between the cardstock pieces so I had something to adhere the cat and fishbowl to in the window.

I adhered the fishbowl and cat to the front of the window and then adhered a second fishbowl and the back of the cat onto the back side of the window on the inside of the card. I love how it looks like he's hanging on to the fishbowl lol! ;)

I finished the card by stamping the sentiment under the window and adding some brick detail to the inside with the brick stencil, Grout Gray ink and an ink blending tool. I love the subtle detail adds behind the cat when the card is closed.

Thanks for stopping by for Day 4 of the My Favorite Things April release countdown. The new release will officially be available on the MFT website on April 5, 2016 at 10pm est!

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog to see what the rest of the creative team created for this months release! ;)

See you tomorrow for more countdown fun!
