MFT + XYRON = Awesome

Hello! Today I have a card to share that I created for a fun collaboration week with MFT and Xyron. I love Xyron adhesives and think they work awesome to hold my projects together. I especially love the 1.5" sticker maker that looks like a letter x. I have been using this sticker maker for years and years and I still love it! ;)

For my card today, I used the MFT Spring Garden die-namics (this is one of my favourite die sets from MFT) and diecut a bunch of the pieces from white cardstock. I then coloured them all in with Copic markers and then ran them through the sticker machine to add adhesive to the backs of them.

Once I ran them all through the sicker maker I burnished the entire piece with a bone folder to make sure the diecuts were really pressed into the adhesive backing and then I peeled the top layer off.

I stenciled a brick pattern onto my white cardstock panel and then I added all of my diecut pieces to create my little gardening scene. I love how quick and easy it is to remove the images from the backing and adhere them right to the card.

Once I had all of the flower pots done, I adhered the tools to make it look like they were hanging on the brick wall and I added the watering can and tipped it so it looks like it watering the flowers. For a bit of added detail, I put little drops of Glossy Accents from the spout of the watering can down into the flowers to look like water. I love how real and dimensional it looks! ;)

I finished the card by adding some black gel pen detail to the centers of the flowers, adding clear glitter to the flower petals with a glitter marker and stamping the sentiment underneath the pots with black ink. I adhered the finished panel to a grey top-folding card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by for the MFT and Xyron collaboration week. Make sure to check out the MFT blog for more great projects from the MFT creative team.

  1. I have been thinking about getting a Xyron sticker maker - if only to make stickers for my little ones too - at least that's what I tell myself ;) This is so super cute - I love the tools hanging from the wall. Xx
