MFT Camp Create | Day 2

Hello and welcome to day two of the MFT Camp Create summer camp event! Every day this week we're going back to summer camp to hang out, be inspired and win prizes!! I am so excited to be a part of such a fun event and can't wait to share this week's projects with you! I hope you'll take part and share your creations on the MFT blog.
For the second day of camp we're heading to the lake and creating slider cards! Creating cards with movement is so fun and interactive and adds an unexpected touch a handmade card. ;)
To create my scene I first created the background using the Surf and Turf die-namics and cut apart a piece of watercolour paper so I had an area for the water as well as the grass. I used distress inks to add colour to the pieces and then I added some water to make it look even more distressed and add the look of texture.

Once I had the background done, I coloured in the Fun in the Sun Pure Innocence girl and cut her out with my scissors. I diecut the slider channel into the water and adhered her with the spin and slide discs so she could 'float' up and down the water.

I diecut some trees to add to the outdoor look of the scene and then I added my sentiment in the bottom right corner stamped on a Stitched Fishtail Stax die.

You can head over to the MFT Stamps blog here to see a video sharing how I created the card and for a chance to participate in each day of camp earn badges and be eligible to win a $150 GC to the MFT online store!

Happy camping!! ;)

  1. This card is total summery fun, Steph! Love the interest and texture you've added to the scene with the distress ink background.
