MFT July Card Kit Countdown | Day 1

Hello! Today I have a card to share that I created with the new My Favourite Things Twice the Wishes card kit! This bright and colourful birthday themed kit includes everything you need to make a ton of cards including a 4x6 sentiment stamp set, an interactive birthday cake die, a 6x6 patterned paper pad, new slider discs, and 19 sheets of cardstock.

And the best part... everything is perfectly coordinated together so all you have to do is create! The kit officially releases tomorrow night at 10pm and you can find all the details about the kit and how it works on the MFT blog.

Today we're sharing 'out of the box' ideas for using the kit ad I went waayy out of the box. All the way to my Christmas box lol! I thought it would be fun to use the slider element in the kit to create a cute fireplace scene with Santa coming down the chimney. ;)

I used a Santa image from the Jingle all the Way stamp set (when he's upside down in the fireplace, it looks like he's touching the fire to see if its hot lol!) and I used the slider element from the kit to move him up and down the chimney.

I decorated the fireplace with lot's of holiday presents stamped from the Jingle all the Way stamp set and the Beary Special Birthday stamp set and I added bricks with the English Brick Wall stencil and Grout Gray dye ink.

Once I had all of the elements on my white cardstock panel, I stamped my sentiment and then I adhered the entire thing to a Grout Gray top-folding card base to complete the card.

The kit will officially be available for purchase tonight at 10pm EST in the MFT online store. Make sure to check out the MFT blog today for more 'out of the box' ideas from the creative team!
