MFT July Release Countdown | Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown! This month's release is celebrating birthdays in a big way and with all of the new products, you won't have any problem creating birthday cards for all of those special people in your life!

For my first card today I used the new Stitched Banner Alphabet die-namics with some older products to create a fun little sky scene with a custom sentiment.

I used the Stitched Cloud Edges die-namics to cut out masks from masking paper and used them to add ink to a white cardstock panel. I love the cloud effect you get when you continuously move the mask up the card base and add ink.

Once the cloud background was done, I partially stamped the Wire background on the top area of the panel with black ink. I stamped, coloured and cut out the bird image from Polynesian Paradise stamp set and then I created a custom sentiment using the new Stitched Alphabet Banners die-namics.

I diecut them all from white cardstock and then I coloured them in with three shades of green Copic markers to create an ombre look. I adhered all of the banners to the wires to make them look like they were hanging and then I perched the bird onto the word friend.

For my second card I used the new You're Rawr-some stamp set and coordinating die-namics to create a cute little scene with the t-rex dinosaur.
I stamped, coloured and diecut all of my images and then I adhered them to a white cardstock panel that I had inked up with light blue ink. I layered the pieces to create the scene and I stamped the sentiment directly underneath.

I added googly eyes to the dinosaur for a fun playful look and I also added a small diecut heart to go with the sentiment. I completed the card with some clear sequins and some clear glitter on the tree, grass and the stripes on the dinosaur's tummy.

Thank you so much for stopping by for day 2 of the MFT July release countdown! All of the new products will officially be available in the MFT Stamps online store on July 5th at 10pm EST.

  17. These are both SO CUTE!!! Does your little bird look sheepish because he 'dropped' some sequins? The little dino-heart is the perfect touch.
