MFT Sensational Stitched Flowers | Day 1

Hello and welcome to day one of the countdown to the Sensational Stitched Flowers card kit from My Favorite Things. This kit has everything you need to create a ton of cards from Get Well to Happy Birthday to Thank You.

For my card today I used the Stitched Flower die-namics to create a diecut inlay background with white cardstock. I love the subtle detail it adds while still making the flowers a focal part of the card.

After I had the flowers diecut, I carefully removed the die from the cardstock so all the flowers would stay in the negative space and then I adhered it to a thin piece of typing paper cut slightly smaller. I ran the entire panel through my diecut machine with the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle die to give it a finished edge and then I added it to a green cardstock mat.

I diecut the new mid-month 'free with $60' Thanks die from white and silver cardstock and coloured the white one with aqua colours of Copic markers to make it ombre, and then I adhered it over the diecut background that I had created.

I completed the card by adding the panel to a Blu Raspberry card base and then added some clear sequins to a few of the flower centers for some added dimension.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more details on this months kit and to see more inspiration from the creative team! ;)

See you tonight for the release of this month's kit! ;)
