MFT September Release Countdown | Day 3

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the My Favorite Things September release countdown. For the next 5 days, we're counting down to the September release, sharing cards and ideas using the new products.

For my card today, I used the newest Pure Innocence stamp set called Jumping with Joy to create a fun fall scene on my card.

I used the small leaf images to stamp a big pile of leaves on the bottom area of the card using Black Licorice Hybrid ink and then I coloured them all in with Copic markers. I also stamped some single leaves up in the air so it would look like they flew up when she jumped in the leaf pile. ;)

I stamped the girl image on a separate cardstock panel, coloured her in with Copic markers and fussy cut her with scissors. Because it was difficult to hand cut her hair, I just cut it off and stamped her head outline on the leaf panel before adhering her down, so I would still have her pigtails poking out in the final image.

I completed the card by adding the panel to a Milk Chocolate card base, adding the sentiment, and of course, adding some clear sequins for some added detail and dimension. ;)

I also created a card with the new Big Hello Die-namics and the Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames die-namics and added some fun dimension to the card by layering multiple diecuts on top of another.

This card is part of this months free online class that will go live Tuesday night with the release. You can download a PDF detailing how I created the card and check out the video in the resources section on the MFT blog. ;)

Thanks so much for joining me for day 3 of the September release countdown. All of the new products that we're sharing all week will officially be available in the MFT online store at 10pm EST on September 6, 2016.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more ideas from the creative team and giveaways! ;)

  3. These are really fabulous. The pile of leaves is wonderfully crisp and vibrant, a perfect autumn/fall scene, and what a great way of keeping the girl's pigtails! The second card has so much fun energy and movement! I love them both. Thanks for sharing :) Esther
