MFT September Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things September release countdown. For the next 5 days, we're counting down to the September release, sharing cards and ideas using the new products.

For my card today, I wanted to use the new Chevron Grid stencil in my design. I love using stencils with ink and an ink blending tool to add a subtle design to the background area on my card front.

I first diecut the new Big Hello (coming soon!) from the center area of a white cardstock panel and then I adhered the stencil over top and held it in place with re-positionable adhesive. I used an ink blending tool and grey ink to add colour over the word and let it fade into the top right corner and down towards the left corner of the panel.

Once I was done the inking, I removed the stencil from the card front and adhered the word panel onto a Grout Gray card base so the grey colour would show through the open letters.

I stamped a couple of images from the new Bold Blooms stamp set (coming soon!) and a little birdie from the new Harvest Buddies stamp set (coming soon!) and added them tucked into the 'hello' word to dress up the sentiment a bit. I completed the card with a few clear sequin and some clear glitter in the stamped images.

Thanks so much for joining me for day 4 of the September release countdown. All of the new products that we're sharing all week will officially be available in the MFT online store at 10pm EST on September 6, 2016.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more ideas from the creative team and giveaways! ;)
