MFT November Card Kit Countdown | Day 1

Hello and welcome to day one of the November card kit release from My Favorite Things. The Kitschy Kitchen kit is so fun to create with and has a ton of great stamp images and sentiments. ;)

Yesterday I shared a card that I created with a stenciled brick background and I thought it would be fun to feature the kit today with another brick background done a little bit differently.

For today's card I used the Small Brick stencil (it has larger bricks than the stencil I used yesterday) and this time I used white embossing paste (tinted with a bit of grey ink) and added it through the stencil. The effect is a textured, dimensional background that I love! And to make it even more interesting, I put the stencil on an angle before adding the paste.

I stamped and diecut the images from the stamp set and adhered everything onto my card. I love the sentiment with the lemons in the bowl and on the shelf. It is so fun to create little scenes!

I adhered the panel onto a Summer Splash cardstock mat and then I adhered the entire thing to a Grout Gray card base. I completed the card by adding some clear sequins and some clear glitter to the lemons and flowers.

Make sure to head over to the MFT Stamps blog to see what the rest of the design team is creating with this months kit! Thanks for stopping by! ;)
