Round Here: Creating Felt Owl Ornaments

Hello! Today I have a fun project to share that I created for my sister for the holidays. We both love owls so I thought it would be fun to create a collection of 12 felt owl ornaments for her tree. I used the Memory Box Plush Wise Owl die to create the owls with aqua, grey and white felt.

Most of the felt that I used is older MFT felt that is no longer available, but Taylored Expressions has some really great felt that would work great. I did two different shades of aqua for my owls so I have 6 of each design.

I love the look of the aquas with the grey and white felt for the eyes and the body. To embellish the eyes even more, I used sequins and layered them on top of one another for dimension and then I added a bit of Silver Stickles to the centers.

I found a really awesome box at Ikea to put all of the owls in for giving. It is really sturdy and comes with an insert that divides the box into twelve compartments and each one fits a owl perfectly! ;)

Hi Stephanie...this has nothing to do with this creation but I'm lost and can't find how you made the Dec25th snowflake card from the SSS Dec 2013 card kit. Pinterest tells me I can't visit your site because of spam which I've contacted them about but I've tried paste and it's just bumpy all over the card then the Dec 25 sticks up. White paint does show on white card base but you did it?? Somehow ???? Did you just use white paint to stencil the snowflake on white paper. You probably don't remember It...that's was years ago but I'm trying to do some oldies but goodies. Can you email me a few simple directions..it's a simple but beautiful card but no one that made 10 cards from the kit replicated it or even used the stencil.
