Hero Arts Inspiration Week - Day Four

Hey again!!
Welcome to day four of my Hero Arts inspiration week.
Today I have three cards to share with you that all have heat embossing ideas. I love embossing powders and the fun things you can do with them and stamps. There are so many fun techniques out there to try and I definitely encourage you to try stamping with embossing powder if you never have. Its adds so much texture and interest to projects!

Very Special

Supplies
Other: Studio Calico Butterfly, Neenah Cardstock, Ranger Distress Ink

For this card I stamped and embossed (with white embossing powder), the Flower Dot Pattern stamp on Neenah white cardstock. Then I cut it up into 4 rectangles all the same size and covered each one with Ranger Distress Ink. The stamped embossed image resisted the ink and allowed the design to come through which looks so great! I then adhered all 4 rectangles to a white cardstock piece, creating equal margins around all of the stamped pieces.
I finished it off with the stamped sentiment banner and the wooden butterfly.

Lots of Hugs

Supplies
Other: WorldWin Papers & Neenah Cardstock, Ranger Distress Ink

I kept this card pretty simple because I wanted the heart and the sentiment to be the focus. I stamped the heart on Neenah white cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then covered the whole heart with red distress ink so that the words within the stamp would be red. When I cut the heart out, I left a little border of the red distress ink so it would 'pop' off of the white background.

Thinking of You

Supplies
Other: Ranger Distress Ink, Basic Grey Patterned Paper, Neenah Cardstock

On this card, I stamped the 'Leaf and Floral' background stamp on a subtle green patterned paper from a Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad and embossed it with clear embossing powder so the green colour of the paper would be 'trapped' under it. I then covered the whole thing with green distress ink. The areas that weren't embossed ended up being the darker green and the embossed areas showed the lighter green patterned paper. It looks so great in real life! :-)
To complete the card I added the stamped sentiment banner, the stamped butterflies and the pearls.

Thank you so much for stopping by for today's inspiration post. Hopefully it has inspired you to get out some stamps and embossing powders and create!!
I'll be back tomorrow for the last day of my Hero Arts inspiration week!
Oh and we can't forget a giveaway. Leave a comment on this post (and every post this week) and I will randomly pick a winner at the end of the week for a Hero Arts stamp set of the winners choice!!! :-)

Steph :-)
