Away We Go!

TGIF!!

And it's a long weekend in Canada, so we get an extra day to relax and hang out! Yay!! :-)

I have a card to share that is on the Deasy Designs blog today that I created using the Aero Boy stamp set. This is one of my favourite stamp sets - there are so many fun things you can do with the images in this set! :-)

I decided the change up the stamps a bit and use one of the adorable little birds with the parachute instead of the boy that comes with it.

I just stamped the parachute and the bird images, coloured them and cut them out. Once I knew where I wanted to place them, I used a marker to draw in the lines of the parachute strings so they would all go behind the bird. And then I just adhered the parachute and the bird over my drawn lines.

I also decided to leave this as a shaped card, rather than mount my diecut piece onto a standard card base. It gives it a fun look and because it's smaller than a standard size card, it allowed me to leave the sun image hanging off the side.

One final touch on the card, was a little bit of glossy accents on the birds goggles. It gives them a shiny dimensional look that just adds a little fun to the card. :-)
