Many of you may have seen the card drive for a sweet girl named Maddy at Simon Says Stamp.  You can read more about it here.  Maddy is a 13 year old battling leukemia and she will be receiving a stem cell transplant from her 15 year old sister Melanie.  It breaks my heart to see a family go through this. Several months ago most of the dies that I owned were lost.   So I set about replacing the ones I like most.  Well lo and behold they were found!  So now I find myself with an abundance of extra dies.   I could not think of a better way to use them than as prizes to encourage sending even more cards to Maddy and Melanie, something that is so very important to our friend Heidi (Simon Says Stamp owner).   So we are starting a new drive (an extension of the SimonSaysStamp.com one):

Cards of encouragement and love for these girls would do so much to lift their spirits. Every person who sends at least one card will be entered in the drawing for the die giveaway.   If you have already sent cards to Simon Says Stamp you will be entered in the giveaway.  If you have some time, though, and can send more cards, we would love that.   Please send cards to the following address by September 14th.  I will draw the winners on the 15th. Please include a slip of paper with your name, email address and mailing address so we can find you if you win!  Send cards to:

Christine Wilkerson
 P.O. Box 787
West Chester, OH 45071
(many thanks to Christy for collecting all of the cards and keeping track for me)
Each prize lot has 5-6 dies/sets of great dies from Memory Box, My Favorite Things, Spellbinders, Taylored Expressions, Tim Holtz or PaperTrey Ink.   Some are still in their original packaging and some are not because of the way I stored them.  A few gently used but all in perfect working order!  :-)

For a full list of what you can win please visit Jana's blog here.
Thank you to everyone for participating in this great cause.

  1. Great idea! And thanks for the reminder about these girls! I'll definitely send some cards in. Can you give an idea of what sentiments would be appropriate?
