'Loads of Love' Card

Hi!

We got a ton of snow here yesterday and are currently in a winter wonderland - perfect time to stay inside and get crafty!
So I caught up on the Clean and Simple 2 Cardmaking class and decided to make a card inspired by a couple of the classes.

We'll call it a paper pleated glitter card lol!

Jennifer created a great card that featured folded paper pleats and I love the great texture and dimension that it adds to the card. There was also some great cards featuring glitter and I was inspired to get out my Glitter Ritz (my all time favourite glitter) and incorporate that into the card too.

Loads of Love

Supplies:

A little info about the card:

- to create the paper pleated heart, I cut 3/4" strips of red cardstock, scored them down the middle long ways and then folded them in half. I then adhered all the strips to a precut cardstock heart slightly bigger than the heart I had diecut into the card front. I just started at the bottom and layered them to create the pleated look.

- I cut a heart frame out of Be Creative tape to fit around the heart cut out in the center of the card and then added Stardust glitter to it.

- I used one of my favourite background stamps from Penny Black and stamped it on the white heart piece with Soft Pool ink so it didn't overpower the heart which is the focal point of the card.

- I adhered the white stamped piece with foam adhesive to create a shadow look around the heart.

- the small heart is also punched out of Be Creative tape with Cool Highlight glitter on it. I then coloured over it with an aqua Copic marker to match the stamping on the card.

Please let me know if you have any questions on how I created the card! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and stay warm if you were lucky enough to get all this snow! ;-)
Be back soon!
