Art Journal Page - A Friend Is...

Hello!

Today I have a new art journal page to share. I guess Tuesday is journal share day, since this is the 3rd Tuesday in a row that I've had a new page here on the blog. ;)

For today's page, I wanted bright, springy colours since the first day of spring was this week. It is still very much winter here and I am so ready for spring to actually get here!

Once again, my page started out with a favourite sentiment and just went from there. I love this friend quote and actually have a few different stamps with it. I thought it would look great paired with some butterflies from the Tim Holtz Easter Blueprints stamp set and some My Favorite Things Music Notes scattered about.

I am really enjoying art journaling and using some of the tips and techniques that I have learned from watching what other art journalers do. I'm definitely doing what I love and developing my own style, but other designers have great ideas too! I love how Vicky adds shadow and depth to her images on her pages with Faber-Castell big brush markers, so I do that a lot on my pages. I love the look! ;) 

I definitely encourage you to give art journaling a try if its something that interests you. It is so fun to just play with products and create pages that are a reflection of yourself and things you love. ;)
