I have been really liking the nautical look lately and thought the images and sentiments in the new Go Overboard stamp set from My Favourite Things would be a lot of fun on cards. ;)
For today's card, I made the big anchor from the stamp set the focal point and then cut up the sentiment stamp to make it work for my card design. I cut it down the middle and then I put the 'You Keep Me' part onto my acrylic block in a curve so I could stamp it around the top of the circle. I finished it off by stamping 'Anchored' at the bottom, in a straight line.
To give the anchor a little more detail and shine, I used black sparkle embossing powder from Ranger and then I centered it into a circle, cut out with my Circle Stax dies. And to give the card a pop of colour, I used my new favourite ink and cardstock colour - Audrey Blue from Simon Says Stamp. I completed the card with some sequins and Hero Arts gems.
