Hello and welcome to my stop on the Simon Says Stamp Pure Sunshine release blog hop!
This release has so many great new products and I am in LOVE with all of them! There's sunshine and flowers and even a princess! One of my favourite new products are the newest parade dies! There is a Diamond Parade, a Bubble Parade and a Cloud Bank! In love!
I worked with the Cloud Bank die for the hop and created a card that's a little different for me... I used soft colours and created sparkly clouds to try and created a muted, dreamy-like look. I think it turned out how I envisioned it would in my head, and I think I like it lol! ;)
True Friend
To create the clouds, I covered a white piece of cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with Judikins Iridescent sparkle embossing powder. I made sure the embossed area was big enough for the entire die and then diecut the cloud bank from it. I repeated it a second time so I would have two sets of the sparkly, inside cloud pieces.
I then used the die with 110lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock and diecut it twice again so I could use the plain white border piece for the clouds. I adhered both to a background I created with Tumbled Glass distress ink and added a couple of butterflies cut out of vellum with the new Butterflies dies.
I stamped the sentiment using stamps from the new Butterfly Friends stamp set and also heat embossed it with the Judikins Iridescent sparkle embossing powder.
