Round Here: Because of You | Sequin Shaker Card

I have been loving creating sequin shaker cards lately. They are so easy to make and add a fun interactive element to cards that is so fun!

I love the new Lightbulb die and Watts Up stamp set from My Favorite Things and thought it would be fun to create a shaker card using them. I first diecut the lightbulb from the center of a white cardstock panel and then used the Mini Sunburst stencil from The Crafter's Workshop to create the rays of light coming from the lightbulb.

I adhered a piece of acetate behind the lightbulb and stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink. I also adhered the heart element diecut piece to a separate white panel and added the bottom part of the lightbulb.

To create the actual shaker part, I added two layers of foam adhesive to the back of the cardstock panel. I first put it around the shape of the lightbulb and then added it to the rest of the cardstock piece. I then picked out the sequins I wanted to use and placed them on top of the heart element, making sure they would fit inside the space of the lightbulb.

Then you just need to carefully adhere the stamped panel over top and press down firmly to make sure you secure all of the sequins inside. I completed the card by adhering the shaker panel onto a black top-folding card base and adding some clear glitter to the sentiment and the light rays.
