Happy Holidays | Stamping with Tim Holtz Halftone Stamps

Hello! Today's card share is one that I created using the new Tim Holtz Halftone Christmas stamps. These stamps are fun and unique, because not only do you get the main outline image stamp, you also get a background stamp that compliments the outline image.

I love the tree in the set and decided to stamp the dotted background image in a lighter green ink (Wendy Vecchi Leaf Green archival ink) and the tree outline stamp over top in a darker green ink (Wendy Vecchi Fern Green archival ink).

To give the tree a little more detail, I re-stamped the background image in Versamark ink directly over top of the green one, and heat embossed it with sparkle embossing powder. I love the awesome shimmer and shine it gives the tree! ;)

I added a yellow star to the top, diecut from the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes dies and added sparkle embossing powder to that as well. I added sequins onto the center of the star, to the tree to mimic ornaments and to the sky area on the card to mimic snowflakes.

The sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Styled Woodlands stamp set. I stamped it in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum embossing powder from Ranger. I love the subtle shine it adds to the sentiment.

To complete the card, I adhered all of the finished pieces to a Lawn Fawn Hippo notecard. I love the fun, smaller size of these cards.
