Cool Day | MFT November Release Countdown

Hello! Today is the second day of the countdown to the November release from My Favorite Things! I have two cards to share that feature the new Cool Day stamp set and coordinating die-namics as well as the new Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stax die-namics.

http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/

For my first card, I used the smaller bear from the Cool Day stamp set and created a scene that looks like he's standing outside in a snow hill that you can see through a window. I used the Square Grid Cover-Up Die-namics to create the window on the card.

I don't usually create with the colour purple (I find it very hard to work with!) but I love how it looks on this card. I usually associate blues with winter themed cards but I think the purple really works here.

I created the scene on a stitched rectangle I cut from the new Blueprints 20 die-namics by adding snowhills from the Stitched Hills die-namics and flat bottomed clouds. I also added some Sno Cone ink with an ink blending tool to make it look like the sky.

I also diecut a bunch of sequins out of vellum with the sequins die-namics and added them to the card with some clear gems. ;)

For my second card, I used the larger bear and the smaller bear with the fun sign that comes in the stamp set. I stamped 'North Pole' onto the sign and coloured all of the diecut and stamped pieces with Copic markers.

I used the Stitched Hills again on this card to make it look like the two bears were standing in the snow. I love the aqua and orange colours that I used to colour the bears. Some colours just go so well together! ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by for day 6 of the MFT New Release countdown! The new release products will officially be available on the My Favorite Things website on November 11, 2014 at 10pm EST.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for today's full product reveal, giveaways and links to lot's of amazing projects from the other MFT creative team designers! ;)

See you tomorrow for more countdown fun! ;)

  11. Stephanie, your cards are so cute and I especially love your idea of using the die that looks like a window here -- so funny to wake up and see a polar bear out your window! Well, maybe not in real life, but with a scarf and cap it would be funny!
