Hello! Today is the second day of the countdown to the November release from My Favorite Things! I have two cards to share that feature the new Cool Day stamp set and coordinating die-namics as well as the new Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stax die-namics.
For my first card, I used the smaller bear from the Cool Day stamp set and created a scene that looks like he's standing outside in a snow hill that you can see through a window. I used the Square Grid Cover-Up Die-namics to create the window on the card.
I don't usually create with the colour purple (I find it very hard to work with!) but I love how it looks on this card. I usually associate blues with winter themed cards but I think the purple really works here.
I created the scene on a stitched rectangle I cut from the new Blueprints 20 die-namics by adding snowhills from the Stitched Hills die-namics and flat bottomed clouds. I also added some Sno Cone ink with an ink blending tool to make it look like the sky.
I also diecut a bunch of sequins out of vellum with the sequins die-namics and added them to the card with some clear gems. ;)
For my second card, I used the larger bear and the smaller bear with the fun sign that comes in the stamp set. I stamped 'North Pole' onto the sign and coloured all of the diecut and stamped pieces with Copic markers.
I used the Stitched Hills again on this card to make it look like the two bears were standing in the snow. I love the aqua and orange colours that I used to colour the bears. Some colours just go so well together! ;)
