Happy Birthday | Winnie & Walter Cutaways

Hello! Today I have a card to share featuring some of the Winnie and Walter Cutaways from their January release! They are celebrating the newest dies all week long on their blog and I am thrilled to be taking part in today's fun with a really really sparkly card lol! ;)

I used the new In A Word: Happy cutaway as well as the Party Confetti and Katharine cutaways. I decided to go with a glittery card to make it festive and fun since it's for a birthday. I created the Happy diecut first and then designed the card from there.

I cut out the word happy 5 times from white cardstock and glued the pieces directly on top of one another to make it thick like a piece of chipboard. I then cut the word out of the Cosmo Cricket Tinseltown Glitter Sheets that I've had in my stash forever, and added it right on top. The glitter sheets are self adhesive and diecut awesome, so it's super easy to peel off the backing and stick it right on. I'm thinking this paper might be discontinued though... it's super hard to find lately. Bummer!

Once I had the focal word done, I created the rest of the card. I did some watercolouring with pinks and blues and then cut out a tag using the new Katharine cutaways. I stamped the words happy and birthday onto the tag once it was dry and added a reinforcement cut out of the same glitter paper.

I cut out the two pierced rectangles and layered them on top of one anther with a pink cardstock mat in between. I then added the Confetti pieces that I cut using the same glitter paper and then layered and adhered everything else onto the card. ;)

Make sure to head over to the Winnie and Walter blog this week to see lot's of awesome creations using the newest release of cutaways.
