MFT Die-namics Design | February

Hello! Today I have a couple of cards to share for the February My Favorite Things Die-namics Design challenge. This month we're focusing on word dies. I decided to go with simple card designs to keep the focus on the words. ;)

For my first card, I applied ink (Blu Raspberry and Lush Lagoon) direct to a piece of white cardstock with an ink blending tool. I made it dark at the bottom and then lightened it as it went up to create an ombre look. Once I was done, I diecut the xoxo in the top area and bottom area of the inking to create 2 ombre words.

I also cut the xoxo out of white cardstock and then glued all the pieces to the white cardstock panel. Once I had everything glued down, I added glitter to the blue xoxo's and then covered them in glossy accents. I love how it makes them stand out on the card and almost makes them look like glass! ;)

Once the glossy accents dried, I added the white panel to a Persimmon card base and then added some ombre hearts that I diecut from the ink piece that I created for my next card. ;)

For my second card, I used the Blueprints 15 die-namics to diecut the angled white piece. I then diecut the 'thank you' from the panel, letting the 'y' hang off the bottom. I created an ombre inked piece like I did for the card above and used it to diecut the letters.

I added the letters into the openings to create a diecut inlay and then added a Sno Cone cardstock piece underneath to mat the panel. I covered the letters in clear glitter and then added a heart that I diecut from the inked piece that I used in the card above.

I adhered the finished panel to a white card base with foam adhesive for some added dimension.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog today for more great projects from the creative team for this months Die-namics Design challenge. ;)
