Hello! This month I will be guest designing on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog! Today I have a card to share that I created with the adorable Hedgehog Kiss stamp set. I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it and couldn't wait to create a cute scene with it! ;)
To
create my card I first stamped the hedgehogs, the bow, the top hat and
the hearts onto white cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers. I
think I've only ever seen an actual hedgehog twice in my life, so I
looked at a few photos on the internet to try and colour them so they
would look like hedgehogs when I was done lol!
Once I
finished them, I coloured all of the accent pieces with the same red
colour so they would all match in the card design. I used some dies from
my collection and some inks and patterned papers to create the scene
for the hedgehogs. I used blue ink on a white diecut rectangle for the
sky and added some grassy pieces cut from some patterned paper.
I
tucked the hedgehogs in between the grass pieces to make them look like
they were actually standing in the grass and added the speech bubble
between them with foam adhesive. I also added some diecut clouds and
adhered one of them with foam adhesive as well.
I
completed the card by adding the bow and top hat to the hedgehogs and
added the three stamped hearts floating into the sky. The finished panel
is matted on a black piece of cardstock and layered onto a piece of
vellum and white cardstock. I then added the entire piece to a grey,
top-folding card base. For a little more detail, I also added Glossy
Accents to the bow, the hearts and the red stripe on the top hat. ;)
