MFT March Release | New Product Launch

Hello and welcome to the My Favorite Things new product launch!! All of the new products we've been sharing all week are officially available in the MFT store now! I can't wait to see what's on everyone's must have list! ;)

I have two cards to share tonight that feature the new Television die-namics and Stay Tuned stamp set. Every single month I am so excited to see what new products Laina has coming out... it's like she lives in my head and knows all of the fun things I would love to see in products. And her designs are always perfection! This month is no exception! ;)

I love TV and movies so I was super excited to play with the TV and coordinating stamp set. I will definitely get a lot of use out of these for sure! ;)

My first card shares my excitement that one of my favourite shows (and characters) of all time, is returning to TV for a special season in 2016 to celebrate it's 25th anniversary! You know I had to actually put a tv show in that awesome TV die lol! ;)

I created the TV with brown and black cardstock to make it look older since the show is almost 25 years old. I found a photo with the opening image from the show, printed it to fit in the TV and cut it out with the die. I assembled the TV and then adhered it to the car front with foam adhesive.

I layered the card front with white cardstock and vellum and also stamped one of the panels with the Typewriter Text background and Grout Gray ink for a little more detail on the card.

The card is a little darker and muted than I usually like, but I feel like it works for the theme of this card since the show was kind of dark and muted lol! ;) I stamped the 'Breaking News...' sentiment directly underneath the TV on the vellum so it would blend a bit into the background. I really wanted the focus of the card to be the TV. ;)

For the inside, I added a printed sentiment and then stamped directly on top of it with the fuzzy screen stamp from the Stay Tuned stamp set.

It's the perfect card for one of my Twin Peaks loving friends lol!! I am really really excited to see Special Agent Dale Cooper on my TV screen again! ;)

For my second card I decided to create a card with a lot of colour since the first one had very little colour. I cut my TV out of grey and black cardstock and used silver foil paper to create the antenna.

Once I had the TV assembled, I added strips of coloured cardstock to the inside to create the test pattern that used to show up on TV's all the time. I just googled the test image so I knew what order to put the coloured bars in.

Once I had it all glued down, I adhered the TV to the white diecut panel with foam adhesive. I stamped the sentiment from the Stay Tuned stamp set under the TV and the finished panel to a piece of Limelight cardstock cut slightly larger. I adhered that to a white card base with foam adhesive to complete the card. ;)

Thanks so much for hanging out all week while we shared the newest products and projects! I can't wait to see what everyone creates with the new stamps, dies, stencils and the amazing new ink and card stock colours! ;)
